Amber and the Girls Get Into  About Victor—One of Them Slapped Amber! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, and Amber had just left work, feeling the need to catch up with her girls. They’d been texting about meeting up, and Amber was excited to hang out, especially after a long, stressful week. She slid into her favorite jeans, grabbed her purse, and headed to the local coffee shop, not realizing the drama that was waiting for her.

As she walked in, she spotted her friends already at a corner booth—Tasha, Keisha, and Latasha, all sitting around sipping on lattes. Amber waved as she approached, a warm smile on her face. But the moment she sat down, she could sense something was off.

"What's up with y’all?" Amber asked, sliding into the booth.

Keisha shot her a quick glance. "Girl, you know what's up. We been talking about Victor."

Amber's eyes widened. "Victor? That’s my ex, remember? What’s there to talk about?"

Latasha leaned forward, her hands clasped on the table, eyes intense. "Nah, girl. We talking about your ex and how you been acting like he's still the one. You been posting all those pictures of him on your story, acting like everything's all good. But you know Victor ain't changed. He’s still out here playing games."

Amber’s heart skipped a beat. She had been thinking about Victor more than she’d care to admit, especially after their recent run-in at a mutual friend’s party. She thought about his smile, the way he always made her laugh, but she didn’t want to admit that she was still hung up on him.

"I’m just trying to move on, alright?" Amber said, trying to shrug it off. "I mean, I’m not with him anymore, but we’re cool, right?"

Tasha laughed sarcastically. "Cool? Girl, you letting him come back into your life, like he didn’t leave you high and dry the first time. You know better than that!"

Amber shifted uncomfortably in her seat. She didn’t want to fight about Victor. She was tired of the drama. "I know, but it's complicated, okay? We were good together, but it’s... different now. He’s changed."

aaaaKeisha scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Changed? Amber, he ain’t changed. He just knows how to sweet-talk you when he needs to. I told you before, he just wants to keep you on the side for when he gets bored."

The tension was thick, and Amber could feel her temper starting to rise. "I don’t need y’all to tell me how to handle my business," she snapped. "I’ve been through enough with Victor, and it’s not like I’m still in love with him or anything!"

Just then, Latasha, who had been quietly observing, slammed her hand on the table, causing Amber to jump. "Listen, girl, if you can’t see what he’s doing to you, then I don’t know what to tell you!" Latasha’s voice was raised now, the frustration clear in her eyes. "You need to stop letting him mess with your head and just move on!"

Before Amber could respond, the conversation escalated. Tasha, who had been getting more and more agitated, suddenly stood up. "You know what? I’m tired of this. You ain’t listening, Amber!" She stepped right up to Amber, pointing a finger in her face. "You’re acting all delusional like he’s still your knight in shining armor, but girl, he ain't. He’s nothing but a dog."

Amber stood up too, but her voice was shaky. "Tasha, you don’t know what you’re talking about!"

And before anyone could stop her, Tasha raised her hand and slapped Amber across the cheek. The sound of the slap echoed through the coffee shop, and the room fell silent. Amber froze, her face stinging with the suddenness of the blow.

For a moment, everything went still. Amber stood there, in shock, unable to fully comprehend what just happened. Her cheek burned, and her heart pounded in her chest. Tasha, on the other hand, stood there with her hands on her hips, staring at Amber like she had just done something righteous.

"You need to wake up, Amber!" Tasha yelled. "Victor ain’t worth all this mess. You deserve better than that!"

Amber's eyes welled up with tears, but she wasn’t about to let Tasha see her cry. She turned on her heel and stormed out of the coffee shop, her heart racing and her mind spinning. She needed air—she needed space to think.

Outside, Amber stood on the sidewalk, trying to calm herself down. She could feel the sting of the slap on her face, but the pain was nothing compared to the frustration building up inside of her. She had been letting Victor control her emotions for way too long, but now, the situation with her friends felt like the last straw.

"Am I really that blind?" she whispered to herself.

Just then, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Victor. She stared at the screen for a moment, hesitating. Part of her wanted to ignore it, but part of her couldn't resist. She opened the message: "Hey, Amber. I miss you. Let’s talk."

Her heart skipped a beat. He was doing it again, pulling her back in with his sweet words. But as she looked back at the coffee shop, remembering Tasha’s slap and her friends’ warning, Amber realized something. She didn’t need Victor to validate her. She didn’t need to keep making the same mistakes.

With a deep breath, she deleted the message.

Amber smiled, a sense of empowerment slowly replacing the anger and confusion. She didn’t have to go back to what was comfortable; she could move forward.

As she walked away, a fresh breeze filled the air, and for the first time in a while, Amber felt like she was finally free.
